Research:

This includes original research using primary sources (property deeds, newspaper archives, interviews, and other sources), secondary sources (state and county historic records), and site inspections.

All research is performed to the exacting standards required by the National Park Service and the State Historic Society.

Construction Consulting:

Assistance identifying original and added features, placing changes to the structure in context of changes in usage, and identifying original finishes.

Drawings:

Accurate scaled CAD drawings at any detail required, including floor plans, elevations, reconstructed wall sections, and reconstructed framing plans and elevations.

Photography:

Enlargement, scanning, retouching, and detail extraction from existing negatives and/or prints, as well as new documentary photography of the building.

Fixture/Furnishing Sourcing:

Location of period pieces, replacement pieces, and replica pieces for items as varied as switchplates, hinges, door knob assemblies, light fixtures, wallpaper, and furniture. Wherever possible, more than one source will be priced and quoted.

Tax Credit Preparation:

Preparation of all relevant materials, and coordination of activities necessary to obtain state and federal tax credits.

Property Tax Evaluation:

Assistance with appeals of property tax assessments for all varieties of commercial property in addition to historic property assessments.

Historic Surveys:

Evaluation of neighborhoods for historic district status, including research into history and architecture, legal documentation, photography, and preliminary 'contributing/non-contributing' status determination.
